i love gossip.

wipe that disgusted look off your face this very minute.

because i believe that everyone on this earth loves gossip.

everyone.

even if you declare to the whole world that you don’t gossip, and you don’t like gossip,

deep down in your heart,

you still like hearing stuff about people you know.

i don’t mean i like the entertainment kinda gossip,

especially since it’s usually untrue.

and besides, entertainment stuff just changes too fast.

like some blonde bimbo teenybopper by the name of britney spears

who got married, divorced, and decided to get married again,

all within such a short period of time.

so, entertainment gossip does not interest me.

what leaves me bloodthirsty is……..

gossip about people i know.

maybe not jsut rumours and baseless gossip,

but news about them which i get from credible sources.

ah!

the more the better.

its spices up all the gatherings and meals.

even phone conversations are extremely boring without gossip.

come on,

gossip is the base for human communications!

at least, that’s what i believe.

if not for gossip,

people will not care about how others are doing or what other people are like.

then,

they will not be bothered to share about their thoughts with their peers and families.

when that happens, they will find little need to talk and communicate!

other than saying, “i wanna eat.”

“i wanna sleep”

“i wanna listen to mayday”

you get what i mean?

speech and communications will be minimised so much life gets so boring.

and that is the worst scenario that can ever happen in singapore.

can you imagine what your life will be like without gossip?

you will work. or attend school. go home. sleep.

stuff like that.

especially since nothing is good on tv anymore.

more than 3 times this week,

i was surfing the channels, local channels, since i don’t have scv.

for example. ndp day.

channel 8.

channel u.

ndp.

ndp.

basically, all the channels were broadcasting ndp.

what the………

and today morning.

wheel of fortune.

nothing interesting.

see what i mean?

even with mediaworks entering the market,

tv is still as boring.

i would say that after mediaworks joining the industry,

the dramas have gone from bad to worse.

for channel 8 lah.

channel u is still a little too new.

at least channel i got some decent shows once in a while.

ok, yes, i was saying life in singapore’s boring.

that day, during a project discussion in which we were supposed to compare and contrast the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of sentosa and the upcoming disneyland in hk.

and we were all criticising how pathetic sentosa is.

fake beach, imported sand, lousy theme parks.

i seriously can’t think of any interesting and attractive tourist spots in sg.

which is why whenever is see tourists visiting sg,

i really wonder why they bothered to visit sg in the first place.

itz a total waste of time and money.

food’s better and cheaper in msia.

no real beaches.

zoos, birdparks and stuff like that as tourist spots, which isn’t really special at all.

don’t get me wrong, i’m not anti-singapore.

i like the peace and stability here, even though stability always comes with a price.

and the standard of living here isn’t as obscene as places like japan and uk.

but still…………

ok, back to my point.

i conclude that gossip spices up my life.

too many projects and presentations.

itz eating up my free time.

today’s supposed to be a free day.

but here i am, surfing the net for information for my presentation discussion later.

presentation’s tomorrow.

great, great.

in fact, i have 2 presentations tomorrow.

and 3 tutorials to prepare.

meaning i got to plough through readings for 3 different modules.

did i mention that i have one whole module covering globalisation??

ha,

globalization used to be my fav topic for gp.

ok, i’m not hating it now.

just that one whole module (12 weeks) of globalization causes a little of indigestion.

sigh.

gotta cancel my swimming plans again.
