shining clean keyboard

my keyboard’s so amazingly clean i feel like licking it!!

lol

i just cleaned it on sunday, wiped the keys one by one.

and voila!

i have a shining keyboard!

although itz kinda yellowed (hey, itz been in use for a loooong loooong time!)

but it looks CLEAN.

much better than the dirty, grimy, sticky keyboard with a layer of dirt on it.

i feel like those housewives on tv who gets high over a clean and sweet-smelling sock fresh from the laundry.

straits times’ been talking abt the new prime minister’s national day rally for the past few days, and i’m sick of it.

in fact, i was pretty much disgusted by the national day rally.

firstly,

ALL the local channels were broadcasting it live.

which i only found out when i started surfing through all the available channels, which isn’t a lot, since i don’t subscribe to scv.

what’s this about a democratic society?

i don’t get to miss the national rally if i don’t like it?

i have to watch it?!

what the……

secondly,

they, or should i say, he, was grossly late.

late in the sense that he took waaaaay longer than the planned time to deliver his speech.

it is basic courtesy to be on time and punctual, no matter who you are!

all the more he should be on time, because he’s the prime minister!

all that crap about punctuality being an important part of a gracious society,

and all these takes place in front of the nation.

has he ever imagined that some of the working crew or the audience might have appointments after that national day rally, and by extending the time, he is causing them to be late?!

and what’s more,

i believe a speech can be memorable and effective,

even if it’s short and sweet.

there’s no point giving analogies and stories for almost every policy he wants to carry out.

too much analogies do make the audience irritated.

in my opinion,

they should either fire the speech writer,

or if he had written the speech himself,

take up some speech presentation classes.

and apply audience analysis as well.
