trouble brewing

 

i have this project management group project where there’s a project leader, project assistant and two team members. the problem is, the project leader is excessively assertive (tongue twister!) and he doesn’t trust the team members enough for them to handle things. occasionally, he treats the other group members like kids.

fortunately i’ve been handling my own work well enough so the project leader hasn’t had the opportunity to criticize my work. on the contrary, he responds to my work so positively i’m kinda embarrassed. it’s like, the attitudes he shows to various members differ so much.

the project leader just sent a very unpleasant and untactful email to the errant team member (it’s the standard procedure to c.c. all group members in all emails) and sheesh, i think there’s gonna be full-scale war very soon. i can already imagine the errant team member cursing and swearing the the screen after reading the email. both the project leader and errant team member are guys and come from male-dominating cultures, so it’s like hooray, there’s gonna be a hell lot of sparks!

the thing is, i don’t know if the slack team member is at fault, cos they’re dealing with some IT stuff which i have not seen in my entire life. bad news is, if that lazy team member is indeed such a bad case, i’ve got another presentation i gotta work with him on.
