“This is [the blob], our new RE. I tell you okay, SHE’S AWESOME!!!”

That was the [cough] awesome way I was introduced to the colleague’s friend. And she meant it too, okay?

We had a farewell dinner and drinks session after work yesterday. Other than being “the new RE”, I was also termed “the funkiest RE” in the office because of my fierce black jacket and spiky (yes, I’m back to spikes) hair.

It has been fun working with the colleague because she’s one of the wacky people and she doesn’t play politics. She helped me out in a million and one ways and has taught me a hell lot of things. She’s really funny, the way she tries all ways and means to battle with the boss and the way she gets agitated over all kinds of crap. I wish I had more time to work with her and build up a stronger bond but, oh well.

Anyway, it’s good to get a little report card with little stars on it. It’s really encouraging, cos I’ve been making small little mistakes along the way. It’s always a colleague from the other department who has to save my ass, bless him. These two colleagues have been guiding me so much that I am now damn bloody grateful to them. I’ll gladly rob a bank for them if they ask me to do so. Or maybe not, guess the most I’ll do is to buy them drinks. Not that the guy can drink, he downed half a glass of beer last night, turned all red, and escaped home along with me when I left early.

Damn, I would have liked a couple more glasses of beer last night. Now I have that beer craving all over again.
